International Pole Championship 2010 Rules and Regulations
1.Competitors
a/ All competitors must be a minimum 18 years of age
b/ The competition is open to both men and women
c/ There are no weight or height restrictions
d/ The competitor must have valid passport on the day of the competition Applications may only be submitted by the participant
e/ The competitors must be available to attend the Grand Final
2.Registration
a/ Registration entries via www.polechampionship.com must be completed honestly, in full and in accordance with these rules
b/ A copy of a valid identification must be presented on the day of the competition including proof of age
c/ The competitor must not advertise for their own personal gain or represent any other company without prior written permission from the International Pole Dance Fitness Association (IPDFA)
d/ Competitor must warrant represent that he/she do not violate the rights of any third parties nor any contractual obligations he/she may have to third parties by submitting registrations form, pictures and video and taking part in the International Pole Championship (IPC)
e/ IPDFA reserves the rights to edit and amend competitors profiles on all media publications.
3.Outfits
a/ Outfits must be dignified and appropriate for athletic competition - it must not give the effect of excessive nudity inappropriate for an athletic dance sport
b/ Outfits must not promote an individual pole school or business
c/ Accessories and outfit should not pose Health and Safety issues
d/ No high heels or booths alloved
4.General Competitor Rules
a/ Competitors must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times whilst involved in the competition
b/ They must comply at all times with the competition rules and regulations
c/ They must co-operate at all times with the IPDFA and their representatives
d/ They must allow the IPDFA and their representatives to use or take photographs for the purpose of publicity and promotion
e/ They must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at any time during the competition
f/ They must have valid health insurance - copies should be send to IPDFA office by e-mail 4 weeks before the Grand Finals
g/ They must sign disclaimer - copies should be send to IPDFA office by e-mail 4 weeks before the Grand Finals
5.Disqualification
a/ A competitor will be disqualified should any information supplied in connection with the competition prove to be false and/or inaccurate
b/ A competitor will be disqualified should they break any of these rules
6.The Performance
a/ If successful and selected for the Grand Finals stage, competitor must perform a relevant routine (to be practiced, rehearsed and fully prepared on standby) during the Grand Finals
b/ Music for routine may be brought in by each competitor in CD format (please ensure they work on all systems) or chosen from the list available at each venue. Competitors will be requested to send the chosen music 4 weeks before Grand Finals to IPDFC office via e-mail. Music must be checked by the IPDFA office via email prior to the competition for timing, tempo, and suitability
c/ The Grand Finals stage routine should be a minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes in length
d/ The routine must not give the effect of excessive nudity and explicit content inappropriate for an athletic dance sport
e/ The routine should include tricks as well as a dance element
f/ Competitors are forbidden to converse with audience during a performance
g/ Dressing rooms are off limits to family members or friends of the competitors
7. Adjudication
a/ Judging Criteria are described in detail in www.polechampionship.com
b/ The judges’ decision is final
c/ The judges’ reserves the right to expel any competitor before or during the competition
d/ Finalists must be available for a photo shoot and video recording before and after the Grand Finals Filming and Photography
e/ Competitors have no right to compensation for photos and video footage taken before, during and after the competition
f/ The competitor explicitly and irrevocably agrees that all footage and photography can be used by the IPDFA and IPDFC for promotional, advertising and commercial purposes
g/ Champions may be required to appear on television, radio, film or print media for the publicity and promotion requirements of the competition
h/ No restrictions are placed on competitor wishing to enter in any other pole dance competition
8. Legal
a/ IPDFA along with associates companies or persons will not accept responsibilities for any injury or damage that may resulting from participation in the International Pole Dance Fitness Championship 2009 Competition.
b/ The Organization reserves the right to change the rules contained herein.
c/ All decisions not addressed in these regulations will be made by the Organization.
